Hello, friends!

Some are old and some are new, all are on some kind of whirlwind fandom fuckery experience and while that's not great, I am grateful to be able to meet some cool people who share some cool interests with me. :)

I realize I don't know a great many of you and I've only just met the rest, so here's a fun Intro Post so I'm not just another Steve Rogers icon floating in cyberspace.

► fanfic writer! i got my start writing fanfic in footie fandom, but then footie fandom died (RIP) and mcu fandom really forced me into the black hole that is stucky & thorki, so here we are

► attorney by day (i...literally write laws LMAO); avid watcher of 30 minute comedies by night
► i live in nyc, so ask me any nyc questions you have!
► i read a TON of sci fi/fantasy and YA and talking books is one of my favorite things, so pls talk books 2 me
► i have no other interesting facts about me other than i watched hamilton w/ the original cast which was PRETTY GREAT and i follow nk jemisin around NYC (let me YELL @ you about the broken earth trilogy ugh!!)
► i've won nanowrimo 15 times bc i'm a crazy person
► also i shriek a lot about anti-capitalist, leftist politics & intersectional social and racial justice (#blacklivesmatter), so if the news is making you Have A Day come yell about it at me

Are you sure you're not a figment of my imagination?!? Those are a couple of my absolute favorite things to think about on a daily basis. LMM AND NKJ. Just like, I'll go in the corner and cry.

I don't know NK Jemisin to be fair but I HAVE stalked her at multiple speaking events around the city + rambled at her about how much I love the Broken Earth trilogy UGH. But also yes to Hamilton!!! The only person missing the day we went was Renee. :(

You have breathed the same air as NK Jemisin AND Lin Manuel Miranda AND almost the entire original Broadway cast! Close enough!

I got to see the touring show in Boston in September. I cried at almost the whole thing. It was magical. And The Inheritance trilogy is my go to for book recs! I haven't finished reading The Broken Earth because I got wicked into fandom but I've got them all. Just waiting on my Kindle.

She has been so ON POINT and incredible every single time I have. Just spitting truth everywhere. Okay I can honestly say seeing Daveed Diggs as Lafayette/Jefferson is one of the highlights of my whole life.

Oh man it's just SO GOOD. EVERY PART OF IT. Ahhh I have all of those books and still need to read them. Once you read Broken Earth please chat me UP bc I cannot ever stop talking about those books. It's some of the best fantasy/sci fi I've ever read.

I haven't read The Broken Earth yet, but I loved Jemisin's Dreamblood books so much. <33

I still need to read those!! I went to a talk with her at the Brooklyn Book Fest and she was saying how surprised she is that Dreamblood didn't do as well bc editors back then thought it was "too black" of a series, but that in her mind Broken Earth is even more "black" as far as themes go. I've been wanting to read Dreamblood ever since.
